I have a dual citizenship and my family plans to visit Korea for a?

Caution: if You are Korean, you may be seized and forced into the Army, unless you have already done your service. Take caution when visiting Korea. That is the downside of holding multiple citizenship as well, The Government of the Philippines CANNOT interfere with you in Korea - because you are a Korean citizen. If you were just a Filipino, then the Philippino Government could intercede on your behalf in Korea, but since you are a Korean as well, it cannot, you are on your own. We ran into a similar situation in Cyrus, when I was on Peacekeeping duty there. A Canadian had decided to visit Cyprus with his family just after he turned 18, he was born in Cyprus, but his family left when he was very young. When he returned for a visit, the Greek Cypriots siezed him and put him in the Army! But thankfully a few of the Greek Cypriots were more level headed than others and we arranged an accident. We took a UN vehicle and parked at a certain stopping point on the highway, and world was passed to this lad to accidently climb into the wrong truck (ours) instead of the one he came in when his convoy stopped there. We loaded up and drove the truck down to Acitiri to the British Air Base there (the Greek Cypriots are not allowed entry) and the lad was smuggled onto the next RCAF flight out of there. Of course, the Canadian military denied having anything to do with his escape. Officially, the Greek Cypriots listed him as AWOL from the Army, so he was warned never to go back there again.
