What will happen to my existing B1 visa , if I change my middle name?

Technically, it should not be an issue. The following will be the order of things: You will be carrying your old passport with you as it contains the valid visa. Your new passport will have a notation that says, old passport A123456 cancelled and returned. Your handsome face will be present in both the passports At the port of entry in the US you most probably will give your bio metrics (your fingerprints). These will match the ten printing records in the system against your name (when you applied for your visa) Considering all this, it should be pretty easy to determine that it is the same person in both the old and new passport. But the US governments site says, it is recommended you secure a new visa in order to facilitate a smooth and hassle free travel experience. Its your call. People with more knowledge than me on this website have said in other answers that there should not be any issues and I would agree. But if you are the worrisome type and can afford the fees, get a new visa.
