I have received my renewed passport, but my post police verification?
This happens quite often. After this you'll be issued with a Show Cause Notice. You can write to the RPO stating that you were away for studies/education. They would start a new police verification in 2 weeks and you would have to make sure you're present at the address on the application.Remember to visit concerned RPO if an adverse report is already filed and get it closed permanently. Upon your request and a max penalty of rs 5000/- you can get it closed and apply again for fresh. i would suggest accept your mistake and mention new address. you will be fined only Rs.500 , which is Rs. 5000 in case of working professionals.Always try to explain everything in detail, this gonna help you reducing penalty or put you under exceptional categories .Contact your SP office.
