There shouldnt be any need. I presume your application is already under consideration for re-issue as on date. It will be prudent to let the application be granted as normal. And, if in your application you have requested a change requiring Police verification, there wont be much of a difference. Examples of requested changes that call for Police verification are address, marital status, name, appearance etc
