Do I need a real ID to renew my passport?
You dont usually need any ID to renew a passport that has simply expired but you certainly wouldnt give fake ID theyd suss it anyway, the person that approves your passport is also a document examiner to check anything you sent is genuine, individual applications are dealt with by one person lets call this person Amy. Amy gets your application and Amy checks and verifies all information on the application, Amy then checks all paperwork is genuine and once everything passes Amy approves the authorisation to print the book. ID is usually only required for a first time passport, ID isnt needed to renew because they already know who you are having gone through many checks from your first passport. This is the case with any country that Im aw of and if for some obscure reason youre in a country that for whatever reason wants ID to renew a passport then real as opposed to fake and they do checks on everything that they ever ask for so yea Im not sure what reason you would give a fake ID to the Government for a passport, the point of the passport is for ID and travel so that makes no sense to me why you would give them ID in order to get ID dya see my point. Unless the question is posted wrong and you mean to say something else?
