Can I renew my passport now after an accident?

As per my understanding, the Passport is issued as a Proff of identity in our country. Irrespective of the condition of the person a Passport is issed andthere is no bar for handicapped (DIVYAANGJANS) VISUALLY CHALLENGED, ORTHOPAEDICALLY HANDICAPED, DEAF OR DUMB, . The Government is sensitive to the fact that certain sections of society may suffer certain impairment and hence the holder of passport will get privileges or waiver from certain rules while travelling. Certain assistance is also given to differently abled people not only for travel but also for various governmental works like renewal, driving license, direct entry instead of queing, seats in buses, accomodation in trains and public buses, concessions infares etc. At times they are provided with attendants, in case a divyaangjan has to travel. These concessions or waivers are all case sensitive. I AM PROUD THAT OUR COUNTRY MEN /WOMEN are so very understanding that THEY ACCOMODATE DIVYAANGJANS, even when no rule is dislayed. They always treat the less privileged with due love and lots of regard. Coming to your specific query, you can meet the Passport office reception officer and have a handwritten letter about your present status. Attach a copy of the Passport and the medical certificate if any that you may have, they will allow you to renew your passport. Please contact them onmail or by phone, seeking their assistance or that you would like to visit them for renewal purpose. I am sure you will get the passport renewed without waiting for long hours.
